Pond
How it works
Ponds are similar in design to grade stabilization structures designed for detention flow. Ponds are a water impoundment
constructed by a dam, or by a dugout. They are designed to provide a livestock water source, recreation, fire control,
as well as maintain and improve water quality by trapping sediment.
The Polk SWCD cost share policy does not cost share on ponds. However, if you are interested, we can
assist you in the site selection and design process.
